Matthew 12:33 “A tree is known by its fruits.”

Matthew 7:18 “A good tree cannot bring bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bring good fruit.”

My dear friend in Christ,

We are not judged only by what we preach or say, but by the choices we make and the way we live.

We honour God not just with our words, but also with our actions.

Sometimes, we may produce fruit that is not ready, or the enemy may try to steal the fruit before it has fully grown. Have you seen unripe fruit fall from a tree? It cannot be eaten and is wasted. In the same way, the devil can trick us into letting go of blessings too early, before God’s purpose is complete.

Think of a tree:

• A thief cannot steal fruit from a well-guarded farm.
• But the tree itself may drop its fruit if it cannot handle storms, or if it does not have enough water and food. To survive, it will let some fruit fall so that the rest can grow strong.

In the same way, our lives are protected by God and His angels. The enemy has no right to take our fruit, but he tries to deceive us, making us lose focus and grow weak.

God has promised to bring fruit and blessings in our lives this year. We must be careful not to let the storms (burdens, pain) of life make us drop what God has already started in us.

We also need to wait on the Lord and be filled with His Word and Spirit. Without this, we may not have the strength to bring all of God’s promises to full life. We could end up losing some blessings simply because we lacked the strength to carry them through.

This month, let us give our best to God, so that we can bear fruit that glorifies His name. As a great man of God once said, “We must do the possible; God will do the impossible.”

In September, let us do our part faithfully and then wait to see God pour out His mercy and blessings in our lives.

Prayer:

Dear Lord Jesus,

Help us to guard our lives from distractions and the enemy’s tricks. Do not let the fruits You are growing in us fall too early. Give us enough grace to bring every fruit to fullness, for Your glory alone.
